It was 2008.
My last year of college.
I began to write poetically.
I compiled 25 poems into a small book entitled, Essence.
I printed up a few thousand copies and hit the streets of Seattle with some
good friends, selling nearly all of them in the course of a few months.
That experience was a great teacher, leaving me many invaluable lessons.
Two of those things I discovered during that time happened to be 2 of my favorite
poems and they were found in my first book of poetry.
