Resurrecting Yourself From Your Slumber
Here in the states, springtime is upon us. Trees are awakening from their slumber as they blossom and seeds slowly emerge from the lush soil.
This post also falls on the day after Easter, a holiday celebrated by billions of people across the globe. Regardless of your religion or where you find yourself on our planet, this is a unique time of year.
I remember when I was younger I looked forward to Easter time because each spring my grandparents would take my sisters, cousins and I on a camping trip to one of the many national parks in Utah. On these trips we would explore nature, fish, and my favorite, getting a large Easter basket filled with enough candy to last me for the next month. I also recall epic Easter egg hunts where I’d frantically search for the few eggs filled with money instead of Jelly Bellies.
As I’ve continued down my spiritual path, I’ve found it interesting to witness the things that draw us as children to certain traditions by way of fun, but then stick with us as we grow into adulthood.
As I sit here writing this, looking out of the coffee shop window and observing the variety of people surrounding me, I can’t help but think of a deeper meaning for this time of year.
While I am not here to sway people from their beliefs, I think this is a wonderful time to resurrect ourselves from our slumber, rising above our own inner struggles, ignorance, fear, doubt and worry.
Looking at my life I’ve realized each day is an opportunity for me to awaken and be who I am here to be.
Awaken From Your Slumber
These past few weeks have been filled with many hate-filled experiences in our world from terrorist attacks, to mass shootings, to outrageous political debates, to the decline of currencies across the globe and the avoidance of expressing the importance of peace, equality and the power of love.
As you and I look out into nature, we can see it is dark times that provide the opportunities for the greatest growth. This season of spring blossoms so abundantly because the past 4 months have been filled with darkness. Seeds awaken to their greatness after first being sown in the darkness of the soil.
Embracing the wisdom of nature, one can see that by moving through these dark occurrences on our planet it provides you and I with a chance to awaken to a greater meaning and purpose for our lives.
Easter provides us with a chance to resurrect our being from its slumber and awaken to the Light that dwells within us. As we awaken to this inner light, we cast a new light across our world.
It is through the ascension of consciousness on an individual level that causes shifts on our planet, in our lives and the lives of others. So while many are honoring a prophet who lived over 2000 years ago, let us embrace his teaching and resurrect ourselves from our own slumber and the darkness we carry within.
3 Keys to Resurrect Yourself From Your Slumber
#1 – Rise In Spirit – Allow your inner world to shift and transform by building the foundation of your life upon the bedrock of truth. With our lives built and centered upon a foundation of truth, our inner world becomes unshakeable. While difficult situations will grace your presence from time to time, you can connect to this present moment and honor this life you have to live.
#2 – Ascend In Mind – Standing upon a foundation of truth you begin your ascension in consciousness. This ascension in consciousness leads to the shifting of your thoughts, choices, feelings and behaviors on a day-to-day basis. This shift within creates a transformation both in your inner world and in your everyday experience. Become aware of what you allow in your mind and remain aware of what you are focusing upon.
#3 – Empowered Body – The final catalyst to resurrecting your being from its slumber is to empower your body temple . This is done through the conscious recognition of what you are putting into your body, taking time to exercise, breathing deep and raising your self image. Honor the body you have throughout this voyage of life, for it is one of the most important vehicles you’ll ever have.
Daily Points of Reflection
In addition to celebrating spring and the holidays, take time each day to connect your spirit with truth. This truth is the conscious recognition that you are alive, filled with Life and empowered by Life.
Be aware of the thoughts you are allowing in your mind and do your best to fuel your mind with thoughts that support your highest vision and don’t emphasize struggle.
Finally, eat healthy, exercise, and be aware of your breath. Let us awaken from our slumber. In doing so, we awaken the world.
