Mining Precious Jewels
Look in any history book and you’ll see for hundreds of years, up into our current day and age, there have been countless people who have ripped the earth apart in search of precious jewels, stones and metals.
Mining companies chop mountains in half, drill thousands of feet into the ocean and dynamite meadows seeking these jewels and metals.
Entire communities and civilizations have been kicked off their land, killed and forced to the brink of extinction as people devour continents in search of these fine commodities.
Some of these people who are searching hit it big, discovering large veins of gold in the hillsides and rivers of California, diamond sanctuaries in Sierra Leone, copper on the sacred lands of the natives and coltan in the abundant jungles of the Congo.
Toxic chemicals are injected into the ground polluting water tables, rivers and streams, families are forced to work in these mines for pennies and with all the jewels and metals that have been found it seems people are searching more than ever to discover these things as modern day technology is sweeping across our globe.
As these thoughts flow through my mind I can’t help but think of all the mining done throughout the history of our world. It seems however, there is one place few people have been willing to mine, the spirit within themselves.
In my experience of life I’ve realized the most precious jewels are those which dwell within our own being.
Let’s uncover them and share them with the world.
Cultivate Thyself
It’s been said the greatest work we can do in our life isn’t the work that the outside world sees, instead it is the work that takes place within ourselves.
As we continue to work on ourselves, stepping towards our highest and best, we slowly start to uncover the precious jewels that have been dwelling deep within our being throughout our life.
These precious jewels however, cannot be exchanged for money, though they may help us attract prosperity. These precious jewels can’t be traded for extravagant houses, cars and gifts but they do help us discover something much greater.
As we cultivate our own being, extracting these precious jewels from within ourselves we see that the world has been waiting for gemstones that dwell at the depths of our spirit.
Mining for these precious jewels reminds us of the powerful words uttered by Mahatma Gandhi when he said, “we must be the change we wish to see in the world.”
3 Keys To Discovering The Most Precious Jewels In the World
#1 – Mining for Compassion – Ignorance, judgment, anger, envy and jealousy run rampant upon our planet. Few have been willing to tap into their inner being and extract the abundant meadows of compassion dwelling within. Left undiscovered negativity covers these sacred meadows and soon people lose compassion for others and ultimately themselves. We must be willing to clear away the weeds of darkness in order to reveal the fields of compassion that dwell within. Uncover this precious jewel and share it with the world.
#2 – Mining for Kindness – Fear, hatred and separation from our fellow brothers and sisters can be found on the evening news, while scrolling through social media sites and spread throughout workplaces and schools due to many people being unwilling to cultivate kindness within themselves. If we were able to extract this precious jewel out from within our being we would be able to uplift our seeming enemies, find the connections we share with one another and show up in our world with a compassionate spirit and generous heart. Kindness is contagious and once you discover it, you assist others as they seek to tap into this precious resource.
#3 – Mining for Peace – While the world may seem chaotic, upsetting and depressing at times, there is a place within that remains free of the chaos swirling around our planet. However, if one is unwilling to mine for peace within themselves that chaos runs rampant and soon seeps into your thoughts, your choices and the experiences you have on a day-to-day basis. Mine for peace and you’ll begin to see peace everywhere (from the inside out).
The Change
As you become the best you, mining for these precious jewels within your own body, heart, mind and spirit you become the change in your own life, your community, city, state and ultimately the world.
Mine for these precious jewels and share them with others for this will assist in uplifting the well-being of our planet.
This resource will help you step towards cultivating these resources within your own being.
