Gratitude Post 14: Mother Earth

On the 4th Wednesday of the month,  I enjoy taking some time to express one of the innumerable things for which I am grateful.

Today I would like to celebrate our Mother Earth.

My Message To Mother Earth

Even during my worst days, you provided me with a solid foundation upon which to stand. The elements that dwell deep within you are the same elements that fill my body, heart and hands.

The trees that spring up so abundantly from your soil purify the air I am blessed to breathe. I was born upon your lands with all I will ever need.

The water that flows through your rivers into your lakes, oceans ,and underground springs, reminds me of the infinite blessings and gifts contained inside of me.

All the animals who scurry up trees, run across plains, and dwell in the high mountain peaks, each are valuable, vibrant, and all are unique.

From dry deserts, lush rainforests, mountains and cold frigid terrains, we’ve been given a great gift to flourish in the land from which we’ve come.

Please forgive us for our confusion, our pollution, wars and great disasters, most of us have forgotten the important things that matter.

Things like clean water, kindness amongst the human race, growing organic food while leaving the forests and animals in their place.

While us humans may believe we have dominion above all, it is you Mother Earth and Father Sky to whom we owe it all.

Thank you for helping to create my life.

Gratitude For Mother Earth

Key of Gratitude – May we all treat Mother Earth with the same respect we’d show to our own mother, father and family.

If we poison our mother, we poison ourselves.

If we show kindness and compassion to our mother, we share that with ourselves.

Thank you.
