Dealing With Negative People

When was the last time you had to deal with a negative or toxic person?

Was it a co-worker, a family member, friend, an acquaintance, a random stranger, or was it yourself?

I ask because we all have to deal with difficult people from time to time.

As I think about this, I realize how often I’ve allowed the experience of a difficult person to inject negativity into my life.

Basically, I let them pull my peace out from within me instead of pulling them into my peace.

As I reflect back, I also notice how some of the most toxic and negative people I was around were my family members.

As I got older, I slowly learned how to deal with them without allowing their negativity to become my reality.

It takes effort and mental strength to remain positive, empowered and rooted in peace when surrounded by these kinds of people.

Unfortunately for many, the most negative person we’re around isn’t another person, it is ourselves.

In this Minute of Mindfulness, I’d like to share a simple idea that will help you deal with negative people (this includes you).

Minute of Mindfulness

No More Mental Jabs

You are always in control of how you will interact with other people. You can choose to be peaceful or hurtful.

Your words matter, your thoughts matter and the way you show up matters.

I challenge you to remain peaceful in all of your relationships.

This includes the people you see as you go throughout your experience but most importantly includes YOURSELF!!

Peace. Happiness. Compassion. Respect.
