3 Keys to Defuse Drama-Filled Situations in Life

Defuse Drama

I heard a story about a monk who was traveling back home from a long pilgrimage, carrying with him many treasures he received while sharing his wisdom throughout various villages.

Night came and he set up his camp just outside the violent city of Kemish to get rest before he made it home the following evening.

As he was putting out his fire that night, preparing for sleep he heard something in the brush and noticed a dark figure approaching.

As the large figure got closer the monk arose with peace.

Enraged the large man raised his fist and demanded that the monk give him all of his belongings.

The monk smiled and turned to grab his bag filled with all the treasures he was given throughout his pilgrimage.

The thief’s eyes widened as he went through the bag.

The monk smiled and said, “Take all the treasures my friend, all that I have is yours.”

Surprised, the thief clenched the monks bag tighter, turned and ran.

The next morning the monk awoke with the morning light and continued towards his homeland. He arrived in the late evening.

The following day as the monk was watering his crops on his small farm he noticed someone approaching.

He saw a large person carrying a bag in the afternoon sun.  The monk smiled when he recognized it was the thief from the other night.

The thief entered the monks small cottage and handed him back his bag still filled with all the treasures.

The thief spoke and said, “Sir, what you have in that bag is enough treasure to last me my entire lifetime but I want something else you possessed that night.”

“What is that?” The monk said.

“I want the compassion and peace that you showed me when you gave away your treasures so freely.”

The monk smiled.

Power of a Peaceful Mentality

In each of our lives we are faced with situations that can cause trouble and turmoil. Different people, environments and experiences can test our patience and peace.

Recognizing this we can see the power behind creating a peaceful environment within ourselves.

Along my journey of life I’ve found that if I approach even the most difficult situation from a centered space of peace within, then even the darkest of times flicker with a little light.

As we begin to embrace that inner peace, that inner light that shines in times of darkness, we can return to that refuge of peace any time we are faced with turmoil or stress along our journey of life.

Drama Free Life

So what happens if we begin to stand firm upon that foundation of unshakeable peace?

What happens when we begin to embrace the keys that are highlighted throughout Three Key Life?

In my own life, I’ve been further understanding my ability and responsibility to create a life that I enjoy, a life free of drama.

As I stand upon unshakeable foundations such as recognizing my Oneness with the Essence that enables me to arise and further embracing the truth that life is my responsibility, I find that drama is something that I allow in my life.

There have been times where I’ve trusted people with things and they didn’t follow through. There have been times where people have stolen things from me and there’s also been times when some of the people closest to me have stabbed me in the back.

However, I now realize that what another does to me only affects me as much as I allow it to.

I am not saying to let people run all over you but we can produce a drama free life within ourselves and bring that energy with us throughout our lives.

When we’re faced with a drama-filled situation we can center ourselves back to that space of peace, that space free of drama that rests within us all.

To find that space begin by thinking thoughts of peace, choosing choices that reflect peace and moving with peace throughout your days.

3 Keys To Defuse Drama-Filled Situations

Here are 3 Keys that you can add to your toolbox of life that will help you defuse any situation that may surface along your journey.

#1 – Remain Conscious – Remember, it is only you who can think your thoughts, make your choices and commit to actions that you choose. Remain conscious and embrace the truth that life is your responsibility. You are co-creating each moment of each day.

#2- Put Yourself In Good Environments – Choose to be around good people and in environments that strengthen you. Know that even if you find yourself in a place that isn’t “good,” you can still move with peace and compassion through the darkest environments.

#3 – Follow Your Intuition – As we spend more time connecting with the inner Essence that rests within each of us, we begin to get hunches, creating an inner dialogue that forewarns us about certain dangers and places to avoid. We also get hunches that propel us into higher places in our individual lives. Listen to and learn to trust your intuition.

Bonus Key – Be The Light

If we happen to find ourselves in a negative environment, around aggressive people or in a dark space within ourselves, we can tap into that small Light of Life that rests within.

Stand upon that Light of Peace, the Light of Life, that Light of Truth.

Remember these words from Martin Luther King Jr.,

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”

Our Power

Remember my friends, we are more powerful than our words, we are greater than our actions and we have an opportunity in our lives to live with compassion, awakening to the Light that we are.

We have the opportunity to speak peace to those who hate us and to shine a light of love upon those that despise us.

You are the Light.

Go forth today and shine.

  1. I find it very nice to read that other beings have also an interest in bringing more awareness to the masses. Thank you for sharing Jeffon.

Some small information from my point of view are; when you can accept all that is, no matter what happens, no fear can touch you. Drama is an opportunity to bring you more awareness and/or to experience some (more) life lesson(s). Darkness is less light, we are all light.

    Blessings in all of you.

  2. Hey Marco,

Thank you for your comment and thank you for sharing a piece of your wisdom.

We are all light. Continue to shine my friend.

    Peace and Respect,

    Jeffon
