Inner Strength
There are times in my life when I’ve set out on completing a goal or some specific plan only to come face to face with my own inner doubts, fears and worries.
During these times I’ve felt like giving up, but I’ve found that I can reach deep down within, tap into greater strength and purpose, and push through those dark spots of gloom.
On the flip side, there have been times where I’ve reached deep down within myself hoping to uncover greater strength and resolve but the inner turmoil screamed so loud that my goal or plan was squashed and flicked to the side when external hardships arose.
Still, I am grateful for these rough patches, for it is during these rough times that I’ve realized how much I’ve grown.
These difficulties of which I speak are common themes to us all. These dark spots help us find our inner light.
Uncovering Inner Strength
It’s quite empowering when one opens their consciousness to the realization that within them is a power that can reverse any hardship one faces.
While it may sound like this inner strength is a kind of magic wand we can just wave across unfortunate situations, the strength of which I speak cannot change outside circumstances but can bring complete peace into our inner world.
This strength isn’t found in ceaseless study of a spiritual text, hours of prayer or meditation, though these practices may assist in the process. The strength I speak of has been with you since well before you took your first breath.
Being that this strength has always been present and freely available to all, many dismiss this inner strength, succumbing to the outside forces which begin to dictate their experience.
The strength of which I speak is your conscious ability to choose one thought over another.
Power for the Powerless
The entire world exists within my consciousness, I must be larger than this world to encompass this.- Excerpt from The Book of Essence
Within us all dwells the solution to our most severe problems. The same mind we use to construct our daily lives can be used in a peaceful, intentional and prosperous way.
The power which we are can never leave us. In fact, the power we use to give our problems their meaning can be used to create our biggest opportunities and stepping stones towards our dreams.
3 Keys To Cultivate Inner Strength
#1 – Trust Your Intuition – Take time to listen to the still small voice in the etches of your soul. Trust that you do have the solution to your biggest problems. Remember, the same mind you use to assemble hurdles and unfortunate situations can be used in an intentional and conscious way, helping you recognize blessings where you once only saw hardships.
Trust in the Life that awakes you each morning. Trust in your path.
#2 – Countless Gifts Within – We’ve all come to this earth with innumerable gifts, the problem is we’ve spent so much time building something other than that which brings us joy, peace and appreciation. One of the most freeing realizations I’ve had in my life is the understanding that I can actively build, weave and add my gifts more and more to my life each day based upon my routine.
Embracing this truth, it’s never too late to share your innermost gifts, talents and unique abilities with the world. Step by step.
#3 – Tools of Creation – Some may be thinking, ‘Ok.. this sounds good and all but I can’t hear the still small voice and I don’t know how to share my gifts with the world.’
To answer these questions may I remind you that you have all the tools necessary to create whatever experience you’d like. Though your life may not transform in the snap of a finger or a week, you can reshape your life with these 3 tools:
- Thoughts
- Choices
- Actions
